You don’t have to do it alone.
As a human being, I understand this pain well. I have been blessed with the experiences of a great number of struggles and have been so grateful for avenues that have supported personal growth.
As a licensed psychotherapist, my knowledge affords me the ability to provide scientifically validated solutions to many of life’s most troubling concerns.
As an artist, innovator and educated art therapist, my experience allows me the opportunity to engage clients in new creative ways that foster insight, and provide transformational growth.
As a seeker, my intuitive understanding helps to guide, give, and to receive the freedom that comes when we are truly aligned to the peace and wisdom of our deepest most connected selves.
Life is a great Kaleidoscope of moving pictures.
Within each of our stories comes a time for great triumph and in others, great pain. While there is hardly a person on earth who enjoys the discomfort of life’s darker days, it is precisely these moments that can give birth to deep healing, a new freedom, true and everlasting joy. Whether we have experienced a sudden loss, an unexpected crisis, or have an ongoing sense of dissatisfaction, the uneasiness of the time is the expression of a certain disconnection, an emptiness and a yearning to become more whole.

Private Sessions
What to Expect
What to Expect:
Prior to initiating services, you may have many feelings of ambivalence. At one end, the prospect of finding solutions and gaining relief is thrilling. At the other, the idea of meeting and opening up to a stranger, revealing hurt feelings and facing the pain, may make you want to abandon the plan and head in the other direction, fast. Please know that I understand and have experienced all of this myself. I know that making that call and coming in for the first session is always the hardest. But taking the time for yourself is a celebration of great accomplishment not shame. Your willingness to have the courage to walk through the fears deserves the highest badge of honor, for it is through our cracks that the light in us is revealed.
Making the Call:
If you have some questions as to whether or not these particular kind of services might help you in your situation, feel free to call or email me with questions and you can get your own confidential consultation free of charge. If together we discover that you may be best served by another provider, I would be happy to help you navigate your next steps by providing you with at least three additional resources that might be of help.
Your First Appointment:
Prior to your first date of service, please be sure to review and sign our office policies/informed consent document and complete your information sheet to the best of your ability and have these with you. If you are a concierge client, arrangements for location and time of visit will be made in advance.
*In-person visits are currently suspended due to COVID-19
How many sessions are necessary?
While this is one of the most common questions a client might ask, it is also the most difficult one to answer. In short, my primary job as is to work myself out of a job. That means that I am here to give you as much support as you might need until your goals are met and together we determine that you no longer need regularly scheduled sessions. While some clients benefit from long-term services, others might find all their concerns alleviated in just a few short weeks. For this reason, the intake session will focus primarily on gaining a clear picture of the challenges you are facing, so that together we may devise a preliminary plan for and a timeline we can re-assess in which to complete your goals.
In general, I recommend that clients commit to at least 8 sessions or more. That gives me enough time to get to know you and your life situation better and gives us time to discover the unique solutions that will best fit your needs. Session packages paid in advance are recommended as they provide you the flexibility of scheduling session times at your leisure and requesting impromptu cell phone conversations or skype calls at your convenience and time of need.
Do you take insurances?
Engaging insurance companies for payment of sessions can bring up certain situations of lessened privacy and decreased therapeutic control. By law, insurance panels may have access to your files for case audits and may dictate the number of sessions that should take place. Further Insurance companies require that a therapist diagnose a client with a disorder to fit the needs of the billing department, a practice that runs contrary to my therapeutic style. Because I believe in the integrity and privacy of the person seeking services, and the sacred relationship that is this therapeutic bond, I have declined to accept insurances at this time. However, if you have out-of-network benefits in your plan, I can provide you with the paperwork you may need to receive file and receive some insurance reimbursements. You will need to contact your insurance company directly for more on the details.
What if I can’t make a scheduled session?
I understand that in times of great turmoil, that life can throw some unexpected curve-balls. In general, I ask that if you something comes up and you can’t make a scheduled session, please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel. Clients who cancel last minute or do not show to a scheduled appointment for a non-emergency will be charged the regular session fee.
